MILLENNIUM & COPTHORNE HOTELS INTERNATIONAL
Yin Yin Wong has been appointed director of marketing of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels International. Based in Singapore, Yin Yin will support all Millennium & Copthorne hotels, both existing and new, within the Asia Pacific region in their marketing services, e-marketing, corporate communications, loyalty and membership programmes, credit card and frequent flyer partnership efforts. She will also support the deployment of the brand throughout the region. Prior to joining Millennium & Copthorne, Yin Yin was the regional public relations manager, Asia Pacific for Le Meridien.

The sales team at Auckland Convention Centre at THE EDGE® has been restructured to provide clients in different markets with a dedicated point of contact, echoing the confidence the organisation has in the current convention climate. Changes include Wayne Lee being appointed business development, international. Mr Lee will be responsible for all international multi-day conventions, with a focus on assisting New Zealand associations to bid to hold international association conferences in Auckland. Pip Loader has been appointed business development executive, Australia. Ms Loader was previously event coordinator. Nick Tate has been appointed business development executive, New Zealand. He joined the Auckland Convention Centre at THE EDGE® sales team a year ago to support the move to the new structure, having previously worked with a destination based tourism company.

COPTHORNE HOTEL CHRISTCHURCH CENTRAL
Nigel Edwards has been appointed general manager of the Copthorne Hotel Christchurch Central. He brings to the role a wealth of New Zealand and international experience, having held senior executive positions both here and in Europe. Prior to moving to Christchurch he was general manager of Copthorne Hotel Wellington Plimmer Towers, and was previously general manager of Copthorne Hotel Auckland HarbourCity.
TODD SIMMS
RESERVATIONS MANAGER
SOFITEL QUEENSTOWN
Todd Simms has been appointed reservations manager at the Sofitel Queenstown. He has worked for the Accor hotel group for four years, starting as a receptionist at the Novotel and Hotel Ibis Ellerslie, then working as a hotel trainee to learn about all aspects of the hotel business, and eventually being promoted to reservations manager in March 2004. Mr Simms is originally from Townsville.
REBECCA CROOK
MARKETING MANAGER
SHANTYTOWN
Rebecca Crook has been appointed events manager of Shantytown on the West Coast. She replaces Michelle Gillman who has been promoted to marketing manager. Ms Crook’s role will be to secure events and meetings into the venue. Ms Gillman will be focusing on increasing domestic and local awareness of Shantytown as a world-class visitor attraction and a corporate functions venue.

Tim Reynolds has recently been promoted to lodge manager at Carrington Resort. Tim has an extensive background working with resorts. Prior to working as the food and beverage manager at Carrington he spent three years at Silky Oaks Lodge in Port Douglas as food and beverage manager/ duty manager and before that he spent five years at the Hermitage Hotel in Mt Cook. |
